Chocolate Peanut Butter And Banana Cookies

Did some midnight baking and ended up with these wonderful two bite cookies. I found this quick and simple recipe from a Hershey Chipts home tested recipe book. I found the cookies something new for me to try for myself. These tasty treats have a really unique flavor and aroma. The flavor is mixture of rich peanut butter, sweet chocolate and the mild sweet fruit of banana. The cookies mostly have the rich aroma of  banana and chocolate ;however they reminded me a lot of banana bread in taste and texture, but in a cookie form. These little cookies are delicious and will be gobbled up in no time at all.I  really enjoyed baking these treats late at night and trying out new creatives photo shots. So try this recipe out for yourself especially if your a fan of banana bread or peanut butter banana sandwiches. Enjoy! Peanut Butter And Banana Cookies(Adapted From Chipts Cookie Book) (Printable Recipe) 1 cup packed brown sugar 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter 1/2 cup white shortening 3/4 cu

Carrots Anyone?

On Wednesday evening my cold began to let up and I felt better enough to try out some new baking.I really wanted to make some cookies so I looked into a book called company's coming-cookies and I came across these neat carrot cookies. These are a simple drop cookie with the major taste factor being the carrots and dried fruits;however they can have anything added extra such as variety of dried fruits, chocolate chips,or nuts. These cookies have a great light golden appearance along with in tensing color of orange. There texture is chewy and crunchy with a cake like interior. They have a delicious cinnamon spice and fruit like flavor. In my opinion they are a cookie that tastes like carrot cake, which is a favorite of mine so I was pleased and so was the people around me.This recipe makes about 3 dozen or less depending on what size you like them to be.I doubled the recipe to make more because I knew cookies go quickly around here. I was very pleased with how simple and delicious thes

You Want To Get Your Hands On These Babies

On  the evening of Tuesday, I began to really crave some pizza pretzels or Italian pretzels that are at bakery's.It made me remember during high school at lunch time when me and my friends would go to a small bakery nearest to my school sometimes. I would always either get a  pizza pretzel or an Nanaimo bar ,but mostly a pretzel. They were so fresh, warm, flavorful and most of  all had a wonderful intoxicating scent resonating off the pretzel. Since then I have had a love affair for pizza pretzels and trying my best to always make the ones I bake better then the last. I have not made pizza pretzels in a long time until now and these are the best so far I have made.  I think it definitely has to do with adding more spices/garlic and waiting for the yeast to dissolve completely. That is definitely a learning experience to not  rush yeast because the product will suffer and wont be as good in texture;however with these pretzels they did not suffer and came out wonderful.

Peanut Butter Cookies With A Twist

We all should experience in life the delightful sweet warming scent of good old fashion peanut butter cookies baking in the oven so perfectly and if you have not yet experience that then I advise you to try out these simple no fail peanut butter cookies. It is a disappoint through for children and adults that are allergic to peanut related food; however theirs probably replacements for the peanut related food for something that tastes similar. That is whats so great about online recipes and the books out there that can help people out so they are not missing out on some great baking. For the people that are not allergic and love peanut butter then try out this  recipe for yourself. This recipe I found in "Company Comings For Cookies" and it was really simple to follow and makes a large bunch for the cookie lovers out there. They are mouth watering delicious with their sweet, buttery, and chocolaty flavor combination. It's texture of moist, warm, crunchy is an important and

Your Very Own Sand Dollar

On a Friday night I ventured through my mom's recipe books and I came to find a book called "Favorite Brand Name Cookie Collection" which was so great because it had recipes for Christmas cookies, brownies, bars and every other cookie you could think of to make. The recipe that I found from the book was for buttery jam tarts;however they looked a lot like sand dollars that you find on the sandy beaches so I decided that it was a more interesting title or name to give them. These neat looking tarts have a beautiful appearance with its delicious flavor combination of buttery, sweet, fruity and mild.Their wonderful texture is a mixture of soft, chewy crunchy, and layered. The recipe is simple to read and follow; however its somewhat time consuming due to the rolling and cutting out shapes till the dough is all gone. That is expected when you want to make these kinds of tarts with two layers, jam in the middle and a x or star like shape cut out in the middle of the top.Anyways, i

Delightful Blueberry Cheesecake

I  have always loved cheesecake since I was little and I haven't yet tried a different flavored cheesecake that I didn't like so far. There are so many different wonderful combination out there for cheesecake such as variety of crusts, flavors being added to the cream cheese and the great ideas for toppings are endless. I chose for this cheesecake was a honey graham cracker crumb crust, plain cream cheese filling and a blueberry topping.

Oh! Henry Brownies

Oh! Henry Brownie. Yesterday, I  was trying to find a recipe to make where I could use my extra Easter candy in, which were those Oh Henry Chocolate egg bars.I came upon a recipe in one of my baking books called "HERSHEY'S CHOCOLATE LOVER'S COOKBOOK" which was a recipe for brownies;however with this  kind of brownie I substituted the optional nuts in the ingredients for chopped up Oh! Henry chocolate egg bars. This recipe makes a rich, sweet, dark and chocolaty flavored brownie along with its chewy, moist and crunchy texture. They really taste a lot like a Oh! Henry bar,but with a brownie texture of course.

Easter Weekend!

Special thanks to the other decorators:Margaret,Anna,Nate and Mathew. Yesterday,my two sisters, brother in law and nephew all helped to decorate these lovely cupcakes to go along with our Easter weekend dinner for today. We all gave our special touch to these designs which represented spring or Easter. Some of the decorated cupcake designs were in categories of nature, animal, and patterns. The cupcakes look so beautiful and interesting that they almost look like you shouldn't eat them, but I know they will be devoured pretty quickly and I hope they will. These are absolutely lovely simple to do Easter chocolate cupcakes with little equipment and clean up.The cupcakes are chewy and soft along with a sweet, chocolaty flavor. The recipe is very easy to follow in directions, which is adapted from "The Big Book Of Baking". I also have used this book a lot in this blog only because I love the recipes so much and the photographs that are so intriguing to look at.
